Uganda’s ambassador to Sudan Maj.James Kinobe has revealed that Ugandans are the very reason why government has failed to fight and eradicate corruption in the country.

While addressing a press conference at Uganda Journalists Association (UJA) headquarters in Kawempe, Kampala, Amb. Maj. James Kinobe said it seems corruption is in the blood of every Ugandan since they praise the corrupt especially those in government and condemn those who execute their work diligently.

Kinobe said unless every Ugandan realizes that it’s their personal responsibility to fight corruption and raise up to the call that it shall be eradicated.

Ambassador Kinobe also revealed that government instructed foreign missions to shift from being consumptive agencies to production agencies as a way of supporting the state.

According to Kinobe foreign mission through the foreign affairs ministry have been asked to start up business opportunities to support their daily businesses than always relaying fully on state resources.

Kinobe said missions in USA, UK and other countries abroad are now being rented out with proceedings being used to finance daily businesses as well as extend services to Ugandans in those countries.

Most Ugandans in diaspora have always complained about the continued poor services by foreign missions to them.
