Ssewankambo confirmed in the statement which was released on Thursday 17, December, 2020 that 593 delegates from 98 districts had polled.   The second oldest party in the country elections follows the three Court of Appeal justices judgement that the Hon. Jimmy Akena’s wing was illegally in office.   Three judges led by lady justice Irene Mulyagonja, judgement faulted the incumbent Jimmy Akena’s rule as illegal thus ordering for fresh elections.
