I have also seen and wondering the unending flow of revellers at my neighbor’s shrine who always come out hideously and masked after their consultations!  With this perspective, I thought that the late speakers deaths was not a result of poison or ill will.  When I heard the father of the late speaker Mr Nathan Lokori putting the record  straight that his son was poisoned because he, the speaker, told him, then I started believing that it’s possible because Mr.Oulanya the speaker emeritus was not an ordinary man who would hallucinate about his condition or create alibi for his death.  Now, when I look back I have been hearing about poison stories for long and the time has come for the President to go and provide leadership and investigate this heinous allegation. If its indeed true then we’re facing an unprecedented time in the  history of our country.  If it’s TRUE that the Mafias in government really exist and are bent to kill by poison whoever has ambition, near the high table , or otherwise then the country will go to the dogs and be left to the inept, corrupt and inadequate who get positions by threatening,  killing, maiming and undermining others.  Let this investigation be headed by the opposition because most of them are good at peddling this theory and may be privy to useful info in this regard. Let this investigation not be like others that have never seen light of day for decades now and there must be a public inquest which can give opportunity to those who might have special information on many other allegations of deaths by poison.  This will not only clear the air about the heightened fear and mistrust in leadership circles  but also to vindicate government for this ridiculous accusations.  Ndawula Ronald, the author is the former chairperson of Luwero district
