Two police officers gunned down by unknown assailants

Two police officers have gunned down by unknown assailants at Nakasozi police post in Kiboga district and taken off with their guns.

ASP Racheal Kawala , the Wamala regional police spokesperson has confirmed the reports and said investigations into circumstances under which the unknown assailants attacked the police post on Thursday at around 7:30pm killed the officers and took off with their guns.

“Whereas the motive of the attackers is not yet known, a team from the flying squad has been dispatched to identify and arrest the suspects.” Said Kawala

This is the second incident in the region in a space of just nine days after a similar incident happened in Mityana district on 7th, December and two police officers were killed by unknown assailants and took off with their guns.
