Kyambogo University disowns Minister Namuganza’ academic documents

Kyambogo University has written to Haguma Law Chambers and Advocates distancing and clarifying that they have never had any student in the name of Persis Namuganza.

The disowned academic documents is what the state for lands, housing and urban development submitted to State House, parliament and Electoral Commission which indicates that she graduated from Kyambogo  univarsity in 2009 with bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social Administration.

In a letter submitted to the law firm on April 19th 2021, the Acting Academic Registrar, a one Jerome B.  Butamanya says that according to their records, they can’t verify someone who isn’t in their records.

“This is in reference to your letter dated March 22nd, 2021. Kyambogo University records do not have a one Namuganza Persis registration number 06/U/BSW/174 and therefore cannot verify the academic transcript attached as authentic” reads the letter.

This was in response to March 22nd 2021 letter from Kisozi House based law firm seeking for verification of the academic documents of Hon.Namuganza after various online and social media platforms and voters claims that  Namuganza uses forged academic and birth certificates.

One of the voters whose identify withheld wondered how weak the president lacks capacity and structures to verify academic documents of his ministers and instead just appoints out of blue.
