Bodaboda operators have been advised to cooperate with security operatives as a tool to improve their work and eliminating of criminals in the industry.
The call has been made by Kampala metropolitan police Commander Stephen Tanui during a meeting held at safe Bodaboda academy Kyebando Kawempe division.
Tanui says Bodaboda industry needs to liaise with security operatives as a way to curb down escalating crimes attributed to the sector since most of the people always utilize boda-boda services.

“If you can recall bodaboda riders have been always engaged in chaos leading to loss of property and lives which puts the country at stake thus a need to liaise with them to curb down criminals” he added.
Kampala metropolitan traffic police commander Rogers Kawuma Nsereko applauded Safe boda boda academy for always obeying traffic rules and regulations saying it’s a good example in the transport industry.

Meanwhile Rapa Thampson Ricky Co-founder and director of operations safe Boda appealed to police and other government agencies concerned to expeditiously enact and implement laws regulating their work for smooth running.
Catherine Kafumbe deputy director safe Boda academy says they are looking at helping each and every person in the country to at least earn a living thus appealing to all youths to embrace safe Bodaboda academy for better future.

John Bosco Kasule operations manager Safe Boda boda academy says the academy is currently working with over 25,000 people and they are targeting to work with all Boda boda riders within Kampala metropolitan area as a way to improve their Industry.
Meanwhile Allen Kisakye who is holding a bachelor’s degree in social work and social administration (SWASA) from Uganda Christian University one of the safe Bodaboda riders says she joined the academy following the failure to get a job after the completion of her studies.

“I decided to join safe Bodaboda academy after failing to get a job, but now am happy with my job and I now earn a living” She added.
