Iran Embassy offers scholarships to journalists

Cultural Counselor for Embassy of Iran to Uganda His Excellence Abdollah Abbasi has cautioned journalists against un professionalism.

Abbasi observed that journalism based on propaganda is dangerous to the national development thus the journalists should avoid it.

He was speaking during an engagement with the Uganda Journalists Association UJA leadership at his office in Kampala.

It was during the same engagement that the embassy offered scholarships to journalists through UJA to upgrade on their education levels in Iran.

UJA Secretary General Emmanuel Kirunda who led the delegation applauded the Embassy for the golden opportunity extended to journalists since it will help to improve the skills and the professionalism of the scribes.

He further said that information will soon be availed on how secured a scholarship
