Police arrests Bobi Wine’s new campaign team

By Mukembo Wilfred

Police and military have arrested 15 people on the National Unity Platform (NUP) Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine campaign team.

According to Bobi Wine, police and Military waylaid them in a swamp on their way from Mbale to Namayingo district.

“Yet again we have been waylaid by the regime police and military in a swamp on our way from Mbale to Namayingo and all our new campaign team has been arrested including security, medical and media personnel. As usual, no explanation has been given.

I am sure Mr Byabakama and Electoral Commission Uganda will still be silent about this continued persecution.” wrote Bobi wine on his official face book page.

This is the second time security is arresting members of Bobi wine’s campaign.

The first time was in Kalangala Island where over 90 people on his campaign team were arrested and even after being granted bail, the prison warders have declined to release some of them.
