Monitor what your children do on phones- First Lady Janat Museveni to parents

The first lady also minister of education and sports Janet kataha museveni has urged parents to monitor what their children do on their phones because bad habits like homosexuality are very common on phones.

The First lady was the chief guest at the Lubaga District Women’s Day celebrations organized by Lubaga Division Speaker Mbaziira Musa.

The speaker of the division, Mbaziira Musa, launched a campaign to help orphans and set up a sacco to help women out of poverty.

The ceremony was attended by Minister of Kampala Hajjat ​​Misa Kabanda, Executive director of Kampala capital city authority Dorothy Kisaka, Minister of Luweero Traingle Alice Kaboyo, Presidential Advisor on Kampala Affairs Hajjat ​​Sarh Kanyike, councillors, RCC of Lubaga Anderson Bulola, religious leaders and many others.

The minister of education Janet Museveni urged women to get involved in cooperatives which will help them not to borrow money from banks giving them an example of BRAC bank which started as a cooperative thus giving them 100millions to help them in cooperatives.

Rubaga District Speaker Mbaziira Musa, who was also the chief organizer, thanked Mrs Museveni for visiting their area to celebrate Women’s Day. He reported that more than 25,000 women in the area are widows. He also took a whip at men who neglect their responsibilities leaving them to women.

The Kampala Capital City Authority Executive Director Dorothy Kisaka thanked the government for providing funds for roads, schools, hospitals, markets among others where women are the main beneficiaries. She however, decried of the challenge of low funding from government

Kampala Minister Minsa Kabanda thanked women for loving government urging them to take advantage of the available government programs which includes among others emyooga and Parish Development Model PDM. 

Minsa Kabanda also urged the opposition to stop criticizing universal education policy since it has helped many have benefited from it.

Hajjat ​​Reham Lutale, the women’s leader in Rubaga, assured the first lady Janet Museveni that it is not true that NRM no longer has support in Kampala as the opposition leaders but rather blamed it on the divisionism that comes during the party primaries.

 Janet Museveni foundation also donated wheelchairs to the disabled.
