I will not support any person who wants to fail FDC party- New Whip Yusuf Nsibambi

The newly appointed opposition Forum for Democratic Change Chief Whip and Mawokota South Member of Parliament Hon. Yusuf Nsibambi has committed not support anybody within or outside the party who wants to fail the FDC party which they have built for such a long time.

Speaking to the journalists at parliament shortly after his appointment Nsibambi said that all change loving forces and FDC supporters and leaders should advance for dialogue and lasting solution for the party to achieve its objectives as opposed to breaking it.

“My first task is to advise both sides to cool down in order to find a long lasting solution. I will not support any person in FDC who wants to fail the party we have built for a long time” said Yusuf Nsibambi.

In the letter dated 7th, August, 2023 addressed to the Speaker of Parliament signed by the party Secretary General Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi, Hon. Seemujju Ibrahim Nganda the Kira Municipality MP who has been the FDC Chief Whip was replaced by Hon. Yusuf Nsibambi, the Mawokota South legislator.

The change came at the time when disagreements continues to escalate in the party between the party headquarters headed by the party president Hon. Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi, party secretary general Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi and the Katonga faction headed by Dr. Kiiza Besigye, Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and Hon . Ssemujju Ibrahim Nganda
