Kampala- The family of a renowned FDC party mobilizer, Esther Nakazibwe is living in panic after disappearing for now two weeks.
A family member who requested for names to be withheld told trusted news that her relative’s whereabouts are unknown for now over twelve days.
He said they don’t know whether she was detained, abducted or harmed given that she has lived in such political persecution for most of the time.
Nakazibwe, a staunch FDC mobilizer and supporter has several times kissed death at the hands of her tormentors since 2011 when she supported Dr Kizza Besigye’s opposition party.
Her strange disappearance comes at a time when she was facing multiple charges but the most recent being in relation to opposing the parliamentary amendments on article 102(b) which sought removing age limits and lifted presidential age passed on December 20,2017.
She was among the political activists who were arrested by authorities in Rukwingiri in western part of Uganda and she was out on bail.
However another family member told our writer that they are worried over the development.
“We don’t know where she is. Sometimes I feel she is hiding but as fate can be again she could have been held” said the relative.
We could not independently confirm whether Nakazibwe was in hiding or she could have run out of the country for her safety.
Her longtime boyfriend refused to give more details when our Reporter talked to him over phone.
Nakazibwe is not new to controversy, she has been thumped and arrested many times for her political activities.
A source in security accused her of being a dangerous character who has the zeal to rally fellow youths.
Authorities say she has had trainings in the art of resilience and mobilization in several countries including the United States of America all courtesy of her political party.
