We are going to activate our Plan B effective next week, FDC’s Amuriat reveals

By Kabuye Ronald

Opposition Forum for Democratic Change FDC president and former presidential candidate Patrick Oboi Amuriat alias POA has revealed that they will activate their Plan B which will give the seating and president elect Yoweri Kaguta Museveni restless days and nights.

“Fellow members, we have to engage the next gear PLAN B. Election thief Mr. Museveni must be made uncomfortable. You know I was beaten wherever I went, I have got scars and swollen limbs, our lungs (together with my team) were filled with teargas on a daily basis, we were arrested and we would sleep in police cells and in the morning, we are in the field talking to people.

We can’t give Museveni an extra day of peace. We begin now with our Plan B. We are not going to be led like sheep going to an abattoir as if we don’t have heads.” Said POA

He added that as FDC Party, they will be making pronouncements in the course of next week to give direction to Ugandans to take charge and liberate themselves.

POA who made the remarks at the burial of Hon. Wafula Oguttu’s mother Lucia Agutu in Bugiri, said that indeed Dr. Kizza Besigye has been exonerated for his statements that elections alone cannot take the sitting government out of power.

“I hope those who thought that an election in itself could bring change to this country have proved that what Dr. Kizza Besigye has been saying is actually true that Museveni cannot be removed by a piece of paper”, POA stated.

Eulogizing the deceased, Patrick Amuriat appreciated her support, courage, comfort and encouragement to FDC leaders including her son during difficult times.

Lucia Agutu died at 91 after her health deteriorated allegedly following the arrest of her son in 2016 after Kizza Besigye sworn himself in as people’s president.

The burial was also attended by the four time former presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye
