Legendary Philly Bongley’s son launches a foundation to help the less privileged

The late legendary musician Phily Bongley lutaaya’s son, Philly-John Lennon Lutaaya has launched a foundation which he will use to alleviate the less privileged and orphaned from poverty.

The foundation has kicked off with a recording studio where youngsters will be taught how to make music, beats, master songs and sing.

“We have therefore first and foremost opened up a recording studio where we will work with youngsters to learn how to make beats, record vocals, mix and master songs etcetera.

The main objective is to start up a Poverty Alleviation program for the poor, orphaned and unfortunate youths who are willing to work hard on themselves and realize their true potential.” Said Lutaaya

The recording studio named Philly Entertainment is located at Salama Kulekana stage, Makidye division a Kampala suburb and is being directed and managed by a renowned radio personality Male Deogratius alias Omusawo Tintah who currently works with Metro Fm as head of production.

The foundation will also help the needy in areas of agriculture, environmental friendly technologies, Information and communications technology (ICT) and entertainment in general.

The late. Philly Bongley Lutaaya is remembered for boldly and openly coming out at his celebrate status as the first Ugandan to disclose that he was HIV Positive at a time when everyone didn’t want to associate with victims.

He is also greatly remembered for his unfading Christmas and new year’ songs that are always played across the country during the festive season.
