Without bias I concur with Lt ,Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba that , Hon. Mao’s credentials are what it takes to be the most prepared and nurtured President must have.
From the time I saw him to when we served together as LC5 chairmen when he left parliament to go and get experience at the local level in Gulu, to his Guild President role at Makerere and now party President makes him the most suitable and most politically deserving Ugandan to play the National Presidential role.
His professional experience as a lawyer, his multilingual advantage and oratory skills makes his quality above average.
I also loved when he fought for the love of his life at the time I don’t remember the name of the man he had a beef with.
By this, Mao is a true Ugandan man who has enjoyed an active legacy at the peak and to the brim.
When it comes to eloquence, I love his unequalled satire, perfection of any language he chooses to communicate, preparation and flow of words In the league of Mukula and President Museveni.
His only undoing has been the President who cheated our generation and changed the term and age limits and Uganda lost the opportunity to have a smart transition in a democratic dispensation like our neighbors.
Come what may I would have been in his camp because of his wits, naturally I love smart people.
I really dont know much about Muhoozi apart from his going to military academies and parachuting some time on passing out and probably marrying Kuteesas daughter if my memory serves me well.
I have also been to school with many people who I witnessed beyond doubt attending class, but school never went through them!
So, am not able to assess Muhoozi’s potential on anything because in military, I believe he is commanding in the shadows of his father and probably wealth.
In Uganda, when you have money everyone will sing your praise and you really can’t tell your suitability for anything. I love and respect your father because he got it from the trenches and his medals are hard earned.
I write this to first of all thank Gen Muhoozi for appreciating Hon.Maos capacity and potential.
To me, it’s a plus for he can identify potential that’s a good trait in leadership, (probably he is not just told).
Secondly, I want Gen Muhoozi to get out of his father’s shadow and be his own man so that we know and assess his potential and make qualified independent opinion of him.
Manchester United retired Sir Alex Fergusson and we thought those who have been working with him knew what to do only to be disappointed by being in the same mediocre league as Arsenal.
Do the people of Uganda a favor, stop going to the neighbors to blow your trumpets before convincing us.
We even don’t know your voice and your only strength is inherited from your father.
I remind you that you failed your first test by torturing kakwenza and have not apologized and mature leaders do it all the time.
Welcome to leadership.
