DIGP Gen. Katsigazi speaks out on Easter Season deployment

By Hannah Marion Namukasa

The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Major General Katsigazi Tumusiime has appealed to Security personnel to be vigilant during this Easter season.

During impromptu checkups at Kabalagala and various Police Stations within the city, the D/IGP urged officers to be extra alert as the country celebrates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“As we celebrate these Easter holidays, your major role is to secure the city and the whole country. Ensure the ‘Wanainchi’ and their property are safe. They must have a smooth period and our role is to ensure this happens,” says Maj Gen Katsigazi.

He added that all the worship places should be secured and the area commanders must work hand in hand with the local leaders to achieve this objective.

The D/IGP added that foot and motorized patrol should be enhanced in collaboration with the sister forces for smooth operations.

“Work hand in hand with other security agencies in your areas of operation and we shall support you. Just do your work professionally,” he emphasized.
