Musician Shakira Shakira and South African based artist Mukabya Junior have emerged the winners for the second edition of the Press Bpabeio awards.
Shakira Shakira was voted the Best personality of the month of October and November winning Eddy Kenzo, Hellen Lukoma, B2C, Kataleya and Kandle, and Grenade.
Mukabya Junior on the other hand beat Flona and Baza Baza,Uga Boyz, Ssalongo BK among others in the Must watch talent category.
The awards which are held every after two months also saw Century property real estate awarded the appreciation award.
According Xavier Marketing Agency Chief Executive Director, the organizer of the awards also a radio personality Male Deogratius alias Omusawo Tintah Deogratius the awards are aimed at supporting Ugandan artistes who never get the chance to be appreciated.
“Ugandan music has changed over time. Lately, an artiste will get a hit but before you know it, the song is no longer a hit after three months. I thought why not appreciate them when they are still hot unlike the rest of the awards that happen once a year,” said Deogratius.
The awarding ceremony took place at Tavern Woods Kabusu and the winning teams were represented by their camps.
