Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga in panic, multiple cases opened against him, buys off some accusers

By Hannah Marion Namukasa

Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga of Christian Life Church Bwaise has reportedly started buying off some of the accusers starting with the infamous pastor Moses Akampulira whom he first threatened to harm his life on a recording which went viral.

Pastor Ssenyonga’s reportedly great panic is due to a section of up country pastors opening up multiple criminal cases against his alleged “un Godly deeds.”

Akampulira is a Luweero based pastor who led a group of others from greater Luweero to open up cases against Ssenyonga and even denounced Ssenyonga s deed in a press conference in Kampala in 2021. After the said press conference, Ssenyonga called to threaten him a call Akampulira recorded and went viral.

Recently, Ssenyonga reportedly sent Akampulira a special invitation and reportedly gave him envelopes and pleaded with him to denounce his moves live on Top television.

A source at Bwaise said that the Mr Ssenyonga is reportedly in fear of these cases especially that they address his major failing mainly using up country pastors to con or reap from the president, promising up country pastors hot air in development and using them as toilet papers.

These cases at various police stations across the country have reportedly caught the attention of government.

Another old pastor Rushago from Rakai and Kyamagero from Masindi are reportedly now in the same bed with Ssenyonga despite the fact that their cases against the former are still on going.

Following the development, fellow pastors from up country with whom these cases were opened against Ssenyonga have vowed to push for justice saying a few fall off of Akampulira, Rushago and the likes of Kyamagero won’t affect them.

They have asked authorities in the Pentecost churches and the state to investigate circumstances under which pastors who filed cases at various police stations county wide accusing pastor Ssenyonga’s alleged manipulations have turned around to jump in bed with him.

They said it doesn’t make sense the very people who opened up group cases against Ssenyonga to run to his radio and television to negate cases which are still undergoing investigation suspecting that someone must be oiling their beats to cause confusion.

“A recording went viral on social media with pastor Ssenyonga seriously threatening to handle Akampulira. This was after Akampulira had read a strong condemnation against ssenyonga for using up country pastors for own gain before the president and at many other forums duping them. Akampulira and group went to police and filed a case. We just wonder how the same Akampulira is now speaking in tongues on Top Tel vision and we are beginning to suspect” said one of the senior pastors from up country.

In the same way pastor Amos Rushago ago from Rakai who led Rakai group to complain against Ssenyonga for duping them on operation Bye Bye Biwempe in early twenties is also dining with his would be suspect and has reportedly been given a brand new motorcycle to silence him.

Rushago was among the complaints of the Bye Bye Biwempe alleged fake drive by pastor Jackson ssenyonga which was never was. Another pastor Kyamagero who led the Masindi group is also now reportedly close to Ssenyonga. These pastors have been seen on Top Tel vision mincing words.

Fellow pastors from up country who said this cannot go unchecked expressed concern that someone must be confusing these poor men with bread to weaken their cause.

They said their coming up was to expose big city pastors who use them before the president especially during the time of campaigns for their personal enrichment and complements.

“Towards last campaigns we were made to come to Bwaise and Namboole to meet the president. Big pastors especially pastor Jackson ssenyonga told president he was going to extend loans to us which impressed the president but all that ended there despite the fact that he went further to instruct us to open up bank accounts, forward him proposals and also have some money for registration. All that and our efforts was a waste of time” said one Mukasa John who said he felt bad for the disappointment and didn’t vote for NRM over anger.

In a closed meeting last week some pastors from up country who convened in Kampala vowed to carry on so that they too benefit from government programs.

They also agreed to petition authorities to expose the hand causing confusion in their mission.
