By Jumah Kakomo

Uganda People’s Congress UPC president Jimmy Akena has said that their team shall not accept to threaten by the National Resistance Movement in order to rig their vote.

Akena said that they shall protect their candidate’ vote at all cost.

“They should not think that they can threaten us. They should not think that they can rig the vote. We’re here until the final vote is cast and we shall protect our vote.

We shall ensure that your votes cast for the UPC candidate is protected and counted,” UPC President Akena

” I recall when we camped here for the votes of Samuel Engola Junior, we fought for UPC votes until Junior was declared and some of our members were beaten because of protecting UPC votes. As UPC President, I will always support Party candidates. I have been in Oyam campaigning for UPC candidates and I’m here again to campaign for Dr. Eunice Otuko Apio in the Oyam North by-election. I request for your vote and support, ” UPC  President Hon. Jimmy Akena while campaigning for his candidate in Oyam North on 1st July 2023.
