The presiding Bishop for the Evangelical Orthodox Church (EOC) in Uganda Jacinto Kibuuka has lashed at World Bank for stopping all new loan applications for Uganda citing the Anti-Homosexuality act which they claim violates human rights.
Bishop Kibuuka who applauded president Museveni for not compromising on fighting the satanic and evil act of Homosexuality also urged the president and relevant authorities to increase their efforts in fighting corruption and extravagant expenditure since the country has to mobilize resources within.
“Even without the World Bank funds, we still believe that God will be with us. We have enough God given natural resource and therefore I urge government to make sure there is equal distribution of resources so that they benefit all the citizens. We must also work harder and only spend on essential things as opposed to being Extravagant. We shall not surrender our souls to the devil because of money.
As citizens, government official, the president and relevant authority we must take corruption very seriously. People who are emblazing public funds must be eliminated from civil service.” Said Bishop Kibuuka
Bishop Kibuuka made the remarks during the ordination ceremony at Mamre International Prayer Centre where three deacons who include Kijura Nsorro from Kabarole, Moses Lyomoki from Kibuku district and Christian Katembo from DR Congo, North Kivu were ordained Priests (Reverend Fathers).
While the six were ordained Deacons and these include: Emmanuel Okiria from Katakwi district, Ferdinand Pike Lugobe from Wakiso district, Ben Nagiloyi from Budaka district, Francis Keedi from Butembo district, Moses Kirya from Pallisa district and Jacques Kathembo North Kivu from DR Congo.
In the same way, Kahindo bakereti Felizianne from Lume, sector Rwenzori, territories de Beni, DR Congo professed her first vows as a nun.
Bishop Jacinto Kibuuka called on the newly ordained clergy to use their calling to spread God’s gospel in truthfulness and to develop God’s people as opposed to exploiting them.
Dr. Christian Kakuba, the Chairperson Board of Directors of Christ the King Seminary, urged the newly ordained clergy that in addition to skills development, they must do everything within their means to emancipate people with challenges which among others include poverty, diseases, ignorance, conflicts and violence.
