Man arrested for murdering of his 2 year old biological daughter

The territorial police in KMP//North and Wakiso, has in custody a one Ssemaganda Ibrahim for the alleged murder of his 2 year old, biological daughter, Namaganda Shallon.

According to the police spokesperson SCP Fred Enanga said on the 22.08.2023 at around 7pm, Ssemaganda picked his daughter from the grandmother, Walusimbi Dora, a 55 year old resident of Bulenga B, village Nakabugo parish that he would take her back after a couple of hours .

“He took her daughter home and harked her to death from the sitting room, then transferred the body to the bedroom lay it on her bed and covered her with bed sheets. The victim was undressed and found with deep cut wounds on the fore head. The suspect had separated with the victims mother Makati Catherine, a 27 year old female adult, of Muyenje village Lukwanga parish in Wakiso, about a year ago. After the gruesome murder, the suspect went and handed himself over to the defence secretary detained at Buloba police station.” Said Enanga

He added “It is painful that the two year old victim died from the hands of a father, who was supposed to keep her safe. It also shows how persons under conditions of stress, depression were costing lives of innocent victims. We strongly condemn such acts of brutality, where parents, transfer their anger on innocent children. We are going to fast track this matter through the courts of law and ensure the suspect is punishable.”
