How NUP President Bobi Wine was arrested at Entebbe airport upon arrival

The National Unity Platform NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi wine has been arrested by unknown people at the tarmac of Entebbe international airport shortly after arrival.

“Our President Kyagulanyi Ssentamu picked off the tarmac upon arrival at Entebbe Airport. Taken to an unknown destination! Admin” reads a post on Bobi wine official social media pages

Bobi Wine was arrested along with Hon. Hassan Kirumira Lukalidde.Member of Parliament Katikamu South Constituency.

Our source indicate that Bobi Wine was put into a police a vehicle and he is being driven to his home in Magere, wakiso district.

It should be noted that Police on Wednesday warned supporters of the National Unity Platform (NUP) party against engaging in any unlawful assemblies or processions to welcome their leader, Mr Robert Kyagulanyi, better known as Bobi Wine who returns from his international mobilisation tours in Canada and South Africa.

Police said Wednesday that the NUP leaders, particularly those representing Kampala Metropolitan constituencies, have mobilised people from across the country to gather at Entebbe International Airport and along Entebbe Road, as well as all other roads leading to Bobi Wine’s residence in Magere, Wakiso.

According to security intelligence information, these plan to stage a mega welcome fete for Mr Kyagulanyi as a way of congratulating him for the successful mobilisation tours he has conducted both in Uganda and abroad for the last month.
