In February 2026, Ugandans will once again participate in the electoral process to exercise their constitutionally mandated democratic right by voting in the seventh consecutive general election since 1996, enabling them to choose their representatives at all levels.
Kisakye Ivan pledges to fulfill the aspirations of both Ugandans within the country and those residing abroad by making substantial progress in his efforts to enhance the standard of living for all citizens of Uganda with the primary focus being on establishing a solid foundation to guide the economy toward social transformation and self-sustaining economic growth.

He says through his commitment to a strong leadership, he intends to further develop and nurture democracy, allowing it to reach full maturity. To the extent that anyone can now aspire to lead Uganda.
“We are engaged in a substantial endeavor aimed at realizing our collective goals. Despite potential challenges, there are many favorable developments and prospects on the horizon. We have devised specific strategies that have elicited excitement and satisfaction among the entire Ugandan population.
We are fully prepared to generate employment opportunities for the youth and are committed to empowering them for self-employment, ultimately contributing to the development of Uganda. This initiative commences with a comprehensive focus on our education sector, guided by our manifesto theme “A NEW DAWN FOR UGANDA – Change Starts With You.” Says Kisaakye Ivan
Kisaakye says in order to expedite the progress of improving Uganda, he requests for the support of Ugandans for him to lead the nation since the media community has a strong history of achieving objectives and a strategy to ensure the security of the future and its where his area of expertise is.
“The media has effectively guided Uganda through some of the most turbulent and demanding periods in our past. Throughout this time, the media community has encountered difficulties and championed the interests of Ugandans in various ways, showcasing its competence and making a case for assuming leadership of the country. We pledge our commitment and dedication to our responsibilities. Our Manifesto and strategy will lead our country to a new dawn that every Ugandan aspires for.” Said Kisaakye
WHO IS KISAAKYE IVAN
Kisaakye Ivan was born in the year 1992 to the late Karim Magezi and Princess Harriet Musoke Nnajuko Magezi. Unfortunately, his father passed on when he was still quite young, leaving his siblings and him to be raised the mother. Kisaakye is the fourth born of the ten children in the family.
His educational journey began at Makerere Yellow Nursery School, followed by Kazo Junior School for his primary education. He then attended Kawala Parents School, where he completed his Primary Leaving Examinations in 2006. During this time, he primarily lived with his late grandmother, Nalongo Kakulu Nantongo Mariam since his mother had numerous responsibilities to manage thus taking the decision to lessen her burden.
Later, he pursued his O-Level studies at Makerere Modern School and Cardinal Wamala Bulo. However, due to financial constraints, and because his mother had a lot on her plate as a single parent, he temporarily dropped out of the formal education and began working for a few years. But eventually returned to school through adult education and successfully completed his Uganda Certificate of Education in 2013.
Afterward, he enrolled at Kazo Secondary School for his Senior Five, and completed his Senior Six for Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education in 2015 at Bussi Secondary School, where he was as an adult student.
At a relatively mature age, he embarked on a journey to Makerere University, where I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

KIsaakye Ivan says his interests and experiences extend beyond academics since he developed a passion for music at a young age, engaging in activities such as selling tapes and managing musicians. He also had the opportunity to manage studios alongside prominent music producers in Uganda. Additionally, he eventured into acting and had the privilege of participating in movies produced by Jerry Stone Films, under the direction of Mr. Osman Matovu Makubage.
His journey in the media industry commenced in 2010 when he joined Imo-Live TV, working closely with his mentor, Mr. Osman Matovu Makubage. During his time there, he hosted a music-focused program called ‘Street Selection,’ which allowed him to connect with people from all over the country.
Subsequently, he transitioned to Top TV and Top Radio, where he hosted a field based program titled ‘Street Quiz.’ The interactive show provided a platform for individuals to share their challenges, and he found immense fulfillment in offering solutions to some of these issues. On Top Radio, he hosted an evening program known as ‘Kulikayo Evening Drive’ from Monday to Friday, and on weekends, he hosted ‘The Top 20 Countdown’ and ‘Saturday Night Jam’ Still.
His career path led him to Salt Media, where he hosted the morning show ‘Zibulaatudde Morning Drive’ on Salt Radio 107.0 from Monday to Friday. Concurrently, on Salt TV, he hosted a field based program called ‘Ghetto Stories.’ which aimed at addressing people’s concerns while motivating the youth to strive for success.
Beyond his professional endeavors, he finds profound happiness in his personal life since he is married to his beloved wife, Brendah Naiga Kisaakye, who hails from the distinguished family of Salongo Wamala George and Nalongo Nalunga Robinah Wamala.
In this blessed union, his wife and him have been bestowed with the joy of parenthood. They are blessed with a wonderful son named Kisaakye Ivan David, a handsome testament to the love and harmony that enrich his lives.
After extensively traversing Uganda, engaging with a diverse range of individuals, and proactively addressing their concerns through the Television programs he has hosted, he says he is now poised to elevate his commitment to public service. It is with that profound enthusiasm that he declared his candidacy for the position of President of Uganda for the term spanning from 2026 to 2031.
Kisaakye says his decision to undertake this significant responsibility is fueled by a fervent dedication to address the challenges he has encountered during his journey as a leader. His aim is to provide solutions and instigate positive transformations for the betterment of illustrious nation.
