The Uganda Journalists Association (UJA) president Mathias Rukundo has described as bravery and hero the fallen journalist Joseph Baguma who kicked the bucket on 24th December 2023-on the eve of chrismas day.

Attached to Bukedde Tv -Vision Group as Masindi region correspondent and Greater Masindi UJA Coordinator, Joseph Baguma a.k.a Bagomezi Digao a name tag earned in relation to his soccer back ground as a footballer, sports reporter and a Brazilian soccer fan collapsed dead at his home which was later attributed by the physician to heart failure on his arrival to the nearby health facility with the help of colleagues in an attempt to save his life.

Addressing hundreds of mourners from Bokwe -Masindi village on Wednesday, UJA president Rukundo noted that scriptures according to Psalms 90:10 , God would take away someone’s life at 70 years, wondering as to why He had broken His promise by taking away a less than 37 year old young man-Baguma Joseph.
Rukundo challenged the priests that presided over the requiem mass to ask God as persons with unlimited access to Him to explain why He was breaking His own promise, which moved mourners that had already been laced with tears and soul into laughter for quite long.

UJA president who hailed late Baguma’s noble role as the journalists body’s coordinator for Masindi region before thanking the Greater Masindi Media Practitioners Association GMEPA -media practitioner’s regional association president Steven Wandera for letting the late to serve in UJA and locally.
UJA secretary general Emmanuel Kirunda thank God for all that he used Baguma in life and asked Him to receive his soul graciously.
The head of Vision Group news producer broadcast Hannington Muluuta used the same platform to urge the public not to misunderstand journalists whom he said write stories not to fight them but rather seek to cure evils affecting the society.
GMEPA president Wandera described the late as humbled and multipurpose journalist who will forever be missed.
Rukundo led the media practitioners in laying a wreath on Baguma’s casket.
He was later laid to rest. The late survived with 3 children and a wife
