Exclusive: Ssentogo Fredrick Lugonvu resigns from BBS Terefayiina

By Hannah Marion Namukasa

Buganda based journalist and businessman Ssentogo Fredrick Lugonvu alias Mwana Taata has officially resigned from BBS Terefayiina effectively 31st, January, 2024, trustednewsug.com has exclusively learnt from impeccable inside sources.

Our sources revealed that Lugonvu declined to take all kinds of offers by the BBS management to extend his unique journalistic services for at least a period of one year but rather he gave them only two weeks.

Lugonvu who was convinced by his longtime friend to joined BBS Terefayiina in 2021 away from his retirement, has been a news anchor of the popular 10pm bulletin Agesigikka and Omunaala program which analyses tropical issues across the global.

It should be recalled that in December 2020, Ssentogo Fredrick Lugonvu had retired from media after throwing in towel at Pastor Bugingo’s Salt media but was convinced by his friend who is also the CBS fm and BBS terefayiina news anchor Joshua Musasizi Nsubuga to first serve his Kabaka before he officially retires from media and journalism industry.

After his 10 years in media, Lugonvu’s next step is not yet known but some sources say he might join politics. However, close sources say he has no political ambition and that he has only retired from the media to concentrate on his businesses which includes his International school, Hill View Primary school, Matanga, real estate businesses and a number of his Hardware stores along Masaka road after graduating with a degree in Business administration.

Lugonvu started his journalism and media journey at Metro fm which is owned by the former education, works, transport and housing minister Hon. Captain Edward Francis Babu before joining Pastor Aloysius Bugingo’s Salt Media and then Buganda based BBS terefayiina.

Our efforts to get a comment from Lugonvu were futile since he was in the meeting.
