Police refutes communication claims between pr. Senyonga, Kiganda and Pr. Kayanja homosexuality victims

The ninth witness in the case in which nine youths are accused of trespassing on the pastor Robert Kayanja’s Rubaga Miracle center church, ASP Musiime Hillary attached to Criminal Investigation Department refuted claims of the accused being in communication with Christian life church pastor Jackson Ssenyonga and Kingdom focused church Bishop David Livingstone Kiganda as pastor Kayanja’s lawyers had asserted.

In 2021, 9 youths protested at the pastor Robert Kayanja’ Rubaga Miracle Centre church accusing him of not paying them their salaries and sexually sodomizing them during their tenure which resulted into police arresting them.

While in his Church, Pastor Kayanja showed a graphic matrix claiming that pastor Kiganda and Ssenyonga where in communication with the accused who at the time where still at Pr. Kayanja’s farm in Kiryandongo plotting to malign him.

However, while testifying at Mengo Magistrate court presided over by Adam’s Byarugaba, the CID officer ASP Musiime Hillary showed gaps in pastor Kayanja’s statement due to absence of the names that were implicated by Kayanja including that of Pastor Ssenyonga, Kiganda, Martin Sempa and vice chairperson of Kiganda zone Jamiru Muwadha who Kayanja claims they were behind the accuseds’ protests.

The communication exchanged read out to the court that appeared in text messages, videos, photos and voice via whatsapp which were sent from Ssentogo Reagan’s mobile phone to the number +256751406503 saved as Muzeeyi but registered in the name of Robert Kayanja. The conversation happened before the accused protested at the Rubaga Miracle centre.

The messages read by the witness before the Magistrate, shows one of the defendant Ssentogo Regan telling pastor Kayanja that some of the employees were in critical condition with bum bleeding and needed money for treatment.

He also asked his employer Pr. Kayanja to pay him his 4 million salary arrears so that he could treat his mother who was ill at that time. He also asked him to give all the other youths the money he promised to sodomize them.

Lawyers from both sides first had a heated debate about the evidence presented but later agreed thus the Magistrate allowing the evidence to be used in court.

One of the persons pastor Kayanja accused of conspiring with the accused, the Kiganda zone vice chairperson Jamilu Muwadha dismissed the allegations. .He also told court how he is being threatened to leave the case to avoid consequences.

The above prompted the presiding Magistrate Adams Byarugaba to order both parties to refrain from intimidating the people involved in the case before adjourning the case to April 5th, 2024.
