By Our Reporter,

Former Uganda National Students Association (UNSA) Secretary for Ntungamo district, Keigoshora Goldmea spoke in several Team University study centres where she campaigned for elections to the university’s Guild President 2024/25.

The campaign brought together wealthy and potential voters that Goldmea is considering, including influential figures in the campuses.

Goldmea addressed her maiden rally at Ntungamo centre on Saturday 4th April, 2024, where she pledged for equity, proper accountability in the Guild office.

“I want a University where resources are effectively distributed and efficiently put to use. I want a government that enhances everyone’s ability from sportsmen and women to academic talents, from arts and performances to scientists, I am seeking for equitable development throughout Team University. My government will not tolerate any kind of discrimination, corruption” Keigoshora said.

She thereafter headed to other campaign areas including Bwanga, Rukungiri , Mitooma  among others. Wherever she made a stopover to address her rally, business was brought to a standstill while her supporters chanted her campaign slogan, “Gold For Guild”, as she spoke and waved to them.

Her presence in Mitooma attracted huge crowds as her convoy snaked through Kashensero town. She was received with a triumphant entry as the eagerly  waiting students cheered her on Sunday afternoon.

Throughout her campaigns, she shared her manifesto perspectives in which she vowed to become voice for the many unheard voices, improve and promote student’s innovations as well as holding her office and the university accountable to protect the rights and interests of students.

Keigoshora said they’re now headed to a cross country drive in other campuses  as they await for voting day due on May 18.
