The Wakiso District Security Committee led by the RDC Justine Mbabazi has arrested its renown Cartographer Amika Julius over alleged Fraud.
Earlier last month Amika Julius wanted to carry out an illegal eviction of his wife and children from their matrimonial home in Kitala village within Katabi town council in Wakiso District, of which eviction was stopped by the Entebbe Deputy RDC Hakim Kiriggwa, who later advised Amika to get all the required documents for an eviction to take place.
Last year the high court on the 24th April 2024 issued an order barring Amika ,his agents or his representatives from interfering with the said property, but since then Amika and his agents have been frequenting in the premises while threatening Nanfuka .
Court also directed Amika to provide monthly maintenance for his children, including UGX 100,000 for electricity, UGX 100,000 for water, UGX 160,000 for gas/charcoal, UGX 500,000 for food, UGX 210,000 for clothing, and UGX 400,000 for medical bills. Nanfuka claims Amika has failed to meet these obligations, except for paying school fees.
Ever since the court order came out, Nanfuka has been living under threats from Amika, and at one time Amika assaulted his wife and children which prompted Nanfuka to run to police for safety of her life.
A fortnight ago, some unknown men broke into Nanfuka’s home and run away with some valuable things including her phone.
Now Amika has been arrested for possession of a fake court order, assault and other charges.
It’s on record that Amika Julius gave out the said home to Nanfuka and his Children in 2016 in appreciation of Nanfuka for being a good mother and companion.
