A 22 years old student of Kabale University has committed suicide by hanging himself on the rope inside his bedroom for unknown reason.
The deceased is one Mugarura Victor a 1st year student of above-mentioned university also a resident of Hamirara cell Nyamiyaga ward Bubare town council in Rubanda district.
It’s alleged that deceased before committing suicide he disappeared with his mother’s mobile phone, they started looking for him by calling mothers number until they landed on him inside his bedroom while the phone was ringing inside the trousers pocket late in the evening.
After seeing her brothers body, she raised an alarm that attracted the neighbours including the village defense, a one Kakama Remegio who also called police for a help.
Elly Maate, Kigezi region police spokesperson confirmed the sad news saying that before he hanged himself he left behind the sad note as he begs for forgiveness from the family members.
He further adds that from Rubanda were notified, the scene of crime was responded to, examined and documented.
Statements of relevant witnesses recorded and the exhibit of a rope recovered. Short notices (suicide notes) suspected to have been written by the deceased before his death recovered beside the body.
” We call upon people with issues of concern, should always utilize the services of local leaders and relevant offices rather than resorting to termination of their lives which doesn’t solve anything”. Maate says.
