Mr. & Miss Uganda Bodybuilding Championship Set for Sept 20

On 20 September 2025, all roads lead to UMA show grounds Lugogo as Central region organises an electrifying event dubbed, Mr and Miss Uganda bodybuilding championship.

The event that is expected to draw a big number of participants will see them compete in bodybuilding, fitness, men’s physique and bikini for ladies.

Body builders are bracing themselves for the biggest showdown with the winner bagging 10 million Uganda shillings.

Event organiser Kisakye Denis Kisakye is optimistic that this year’s event promises to be big and better, with an increased cash prize for the winner.

“The organising team has done it’s best this year and the stakes are so high for the competitors,” Kisakye said.

The players will compete in 6 weight categories including among others; bantam, welter, Lightweight, Middle, Light heavy and heavy weight respectively.

Top players like Miyagi Farooq, Fahad Ssetimba, Hussein Mbajja and Mwesigwa Daniel are all expected to take part in the prestigious regional event where the best three in each category automatically qualify for Mr. Uganda due November 2025.

This is one of the regional qualifier events that draws a good number of talented body builders. The other qualifiers are; Western, Eastern and Northern respectively.
