The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Democratic Front (DF) party is set to convene this Friday to determine whether the party will field a presidential candidate in the upcoming national general elections.

This development was confirmed by the party’s president, Rt. Hon. Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba.
According to Mpuuga, the party’s strategists have spent the past month drafting a minimum agenda to guide DF’s key strategic decisions and operations. The agenda will be a central focus of Friday’s meeting.

“The NEC will meet to deliberate on the minimum agenda and make critical decisions, including whether to nominate a presidential flag bearer for the general elections,” Mpuuga stated.
He also revealed that the committee will discuss the party’s position on potential alliances with other political parties, including the terms and conditions for any possible cooperation during the upcoming elections.
