“My Daughter Was Killed”: Grieving Father Rejects Gas Explosion Story in Death Linked to Bryan White

By Robert Segawa

Tension and grief erupted this morning as the family of Nalubwama Caroline, aged 25, returned her body to the home of controversial socialite Kirumira Bryan, popularly known as Bryan White, demanding justice and a thorough investigation into what they call a “stage-managed” gas explosion.

Nalubwama’s father, Mutyaba Tom, questioned the official account of events, wondering how a gas explosion could burn his daughter only on her lower body while leaving the rest unscathed.

“We want justice. We demand a thorough investigation into the death of my daughter,” Mutyaba said emotionally. “This is not an accident — my daughter was killed, and the gas explosion story is a cover-up.”

The grieving father also raised concerns over the delayed police report, noting that the incident allegedly occurred on October 24, 2025, but was only reported three days later, on October 27 at around 9 p.m.

According to Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, the incident took place at Bryan White’s residence along Salaama Road, Kyamula, Makindye Division. Owoyesigyire stated that on October 27, 2025, at around 2:00 p.m., Mutyaba received information that his daughter — said to be Bryan White’s girlfriend — had sustained serious injuries from a gas explosion at the socialite’s home. She was later pronounced dead at Kiruddu Hospital.

Police conveyed the body to City Mortuary, Mulago, for postmortem under reference PF 48A and 48B. Detectives from the homicide desk, SOC0, and sister security agencies from Katwe Police Division cordoned off the scene for evidence gathering and recovered several exhibits.

Owoyesigyire confirmed that Bryan White, who allegedly sustained injuries on his lower body, is currently admitted to Mildmay Hospital in Lweza, Wakiso District, where detectives have recorded his statement.

However, eyewitnesses have cast doubt on the explosion narrative. One local council source revealed that the supposed scene of the incident appears “stage-managed,” noting that the room’s beddings, clothes, and gas cylinder were all intact — with only a door and curtains showing signs of burning.

“There were no smoke marks or major fire damage in the room. It looks like something else happened there,” said the eyewitness, who requested anonymity.

Residents further alleged that Bryan White keeps shrines within his home, heavily guarded by military police officers who reportedly intimidate locals.

As investigations continue, the family insists they will not rest until the truth about Nalubwama’s mysterious death is revealed.
