Sandi AI, the AI-powered platform helping communities access clean water and sanitation, has announced the launch of its Group Rotational Savings feature branded “Save Now, Take Later” alongside USSD access for non-smartphone users and the opening of its new Kenya regional office in Nairobi. The company’s head office will remain in Uganda, while the new Nairobi hub will support Kenyan communities and local partners.
The Group Rotational Savings feature enables community groups to collectively save toward shared water and sanitation goals. For instance, a group of eight members can agree to contribute a set amount each month toward a water harvesting facility. Each month, one member receives the facility until all have benefited—ensuring equitable access and community-driven progress.
To promote inclusivity and accessibility, Sandi AI has introduced USSD functionality, allowing individuals without smartphones to join savings groups, make contributions, and monitor progress seamlessly.
Unlike traditional distributors, Sandi AI does not sell water technologies directly. Instead, it connects saving groups with trusted partner manufacturers, ensuring communities access high-quality water and sanitation solutions at factory prices. The platform’s AI tools track contributions, ensure fairness, and offer personalized guidance to help groups reach their savings goals efficiently.
