Full List: Winners of Buganda LCV Chairperson and City Mayor Elections

Following the conclusion of the Local Council Five (LCV) district chairperson and city mayoral elections held on Thursday, Trusted News Uganda has compiled a comprehensive list of candidates who emerged victorious across the Buganda region, along with their respective political parties.

The elections, which were largely peaceful, attracted lower voter turnout and saw a strong showing by the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) alongside notable gains by the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP), especially in urban and peri-urban areas.

Below is the full list of the elected LCV district chairpersons and city mayors in the Buganda region:

  1. Preston Kibirango – NUP, Luwero
  2. Francis Lukooya – NRM, Mukono
  3. Roger Semanda – NRM, Nakasongola
  4. George Wasswa – NUP, Buikwe
  5. Nairobi Gerald Kalunda – NRM, Kiboga
  6. Ignatius Koomu – NRM, Nakaseke
  7. Michael Ntambi – NRM, Mubende
  8. George Abigaba – NRM, Gomba
  9. Simon Peter Kawuki – NUP, Mpigi
  10. Julius Bulegeya – NRM, Bukomansimbi
  11. Samuel Ssekamwa – NRM, Rakai
  12. Khamadi Nyombi Mukiibi – NUP, Kalungu
  13. Peter Asasira – NRM, Kyotera
  14. Joseph Luzige Kamya – NRM, Mityana
  15. Ssemugaba Samuel – NRM, Kyankwanzi
  16. Ochieng Matia Nixon – NRM, Buvuma
  17. Moses Ali Ssemanda – NRM, Lyantonde
  18. Abasi Kizito – NRM, Lwengo
  19. Lunkuse Agnes – NRM, Kalangala
  20. Michael Ssemuyaba – NRM, Kasanda
  21. Ian Kyeyune – NRM, Wakiso
  22. Andrew Muwonge – NRM, Kayunga
  23. John Kakande – NRM, Masaka

City Mayors:
24. Ronald Nsubuga Balimwezo – NUP, Kampala (Lord Mayor)
25. Florence Namayanja – NUP, Masaka City

The results reflect a continued dominance of the NRM in rural districts, while NUP maintains strong influence in key urban centers.
