Britania Wins Five Honours at 2026 East Africa Brand Quality Awards

By Kabuye Ronald

Britania Allied Industries Limited has won five honours at the 2026 East Africa Brand Quality Awards, securing three Platinum awards, one Gold and one Silver across its beverages, sauces and biscuits portfolio.

The awards were presented during the sixth edition of the event held on October 16, 2026, at Hotel Africana and Convention Centre in Kampala, bringing together five achievements by the company’s brands in recognition of their performance across different product categories.

YoJus, TopUp and SunSip each received Platinum awards in the children’s natural fruit juice, tomato sauce and paste, and non-carbonated soft drinks categories, respectively.

Splash won Gold in the natural fruit beverages category, while Britania Biscuits received Silver in the confectionery and biscuit products category.

The recognition reflects the diversity of Britania’s product portfolio and its efforts to meet the different tastes and needs of consumers across households and everyday occasions.

From fruit juices packed for school lunches and drinks shared among friends to sauces used in preparing meals and biscuits enjoyed during breaks, the company’s brands serve a wide range of consumer preferences.

Speaking after the recognition, Ali Ebraik, the Chief Executive Officer of Britania Allied Industries Limited, said the awards reflected the company’s commitment to delivering products consumers can trust.

“Every brand in our portfolio carries a responsibility to the consumer and to the Britania name behind it. Receiving five awards is a proud moment, but our daily task remains the same: to make products people can rely on. That responsibility belongs to every part of our business,” Ebraik said.

The company attributed the achievement to the collective efforts of its manufacturing, quality assurance, sales, marketing and distribution teams, noting that each department contributes to the quality of its products and their availability to consumers.

Britania said the awards also provide an opportunity to strengthen consumer awareness of its wider portfolio, enabling customers familiar with one product to discover other brands produced by the company.

Victor Akatwijuka, the Marketing Manager at Britania Allied Industries Limited, said the recognition would help strengthen the connection between individual brands and the company behind them.

“Consumers may first know us through Splash, YoJus, TopUp, SunSip or our biscuits. We want every positive experience with those products to build their confidence in Britania. These awards celebrate the individual brands and help tell the larger story of the company behind them,” Akatwijuka said.

Following the achievement, Britania said it would continue to focus on maintaining manufacturing standards, introducing product innovations and improving consumer satisfaction.

The company noted that sustaining consumer confidence requires consistent efforts throughout the production and distribution process, from manufacturing to ensuring products reach the shops where customers purchase them.

For Britania, the five awards represent a shared milestone across its brands and teams, while reinforcing its ambition to continue earning consumer trust through quality and consistency.
