The president of the opposition Forum for Democratic change ( FDC) Patrick Oboi Amuriat ( POA) believes that they will win tomorrow’s case which is before the High court.

The Katonga faction led by Kampala Lordmayor Erias Lukwago filed a civil suit in the civil division of the high court challenging the planned elections organised by the fdc electoral chairperson Toterebuka Bamwenda asserting that he usurped the powers of the FDC chairperson Waswa Birigwa by calling the National delegates conference.
However on Monday the deputy FDC party spokesperson John Kikonyogo noted that the FDC electoral chairperson only organised elections but he didn’t call for the National delegates conference as the katonga people alleges.
Speaking to the delegates from the central region that have converged at his resident in Najjera ,Amuriat noted that he has strong belief that they will win tomorrow’s case before adding that they will abid by the court’s ruling.
Amuriat said that the term of all elected FDC leaders ends on 7th October and the party may face challenges of deregistration under the political party guidelines which guides political parties to elect leaders every after 5 years.

His comments come at a time when court is set to deliver it’s ruling on Thursday midday on an interim injunction sought by Lukwago and others stopping the planned FDC elections which is scheduled for 6th October at patida Samaj sports ground Lugogo to elect their new leaders.
Amuriat also trashed Lukwago’s threats of taking over the FDC headquarters. He reffered to him as just a joker and a coward who can’t even be at the frontline of any battle whether it’s within the party or against the government.
Amuriat has also disclosed that in his campaigns he has observed that many of the FDC supporters are disappointed with the divisions within the party.
