The National Resistance Movement NRM national mobilizer, Nathan David Kazoora has expressed disappointment with the opposition legislators for boycotting parliamentary plenary on what he termed as pointless issues which can also be resolved without demonstrating.

Opposition MPs led by the leader of opposition in parliament Hon. Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba resolved not to attend plenary until government gives a befitting response on the whereabouts of their 18 supporters who are said to have been abducted and kidnapped by security officials. They also want an end to the harassment of fishermen in fishing communities, an end to civilian trials in military courts.
The NRM mobilizer Nathan David Kazoora has questioned why the opposition legislators are paying a deaf ear to the speaker’ calls to have the issues resolved in the plenary as opposed to shunning the house.
He says that the politics of defiance as being played by the opposition will not resolve anything hence both side should dialogue for the good of Uganda.
“The Deputy Speaker Tayebwa asked them to sit down and discuss how they could resolve their issues but they insisted because the politics of protests is making them relevant in the media ,and this does not help Ugandans anymore.” Said Kazoora
Kazoora says opposition members should emulate Kimaanya Kabonera MP Dr Abed Bwanika who has always advocated for dialogue with government to discuss on a number of their concerns but instead has always been ridiculed as an enemy of the opposition.
He expressed worry on how the issues affecting the common people will be addressed at a time when those supposed to raise them continue to shun parliament.

Kazoora also took a whip at those who refer to the National Unity Platform NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu as their president well knowing that President Yoweri Kagutta Museveni won the elections and was sworn in as the country’s president until 2026.
“President Museveni is the leader of this country, sit with him because he has no problem with negotiating with anyone, and he does not discriminate, if you do that the country will move forward. Therefore the biggest problem facing the opposition is that they do not believe in President Museveni as the leader who was elected by the Majority, but if they accept and respect him, and work with him, things will get better and their constituents will benefit more,” Kazoora said.
Kazoora is also unhappy with some of the opposition members who get aid from President Museveni but then slander him.
He now urged Ugandans, especially those living in Buganda, to be careful when casting their votes in the 2026 elections, because if they get overexcited due to the political wave, they will reap nothing as is today.
