Alien Skin Charged with Robbery, Remanded to Prison

By Kabuye Ronald
Ugandan musician Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, has been formally charged with robbery following an incident in Makindye Division, Kampala, on September 28. The state alleges that Alien Skin stole an iPhone 15 Pro, valued at Shs3.5 million, Shs480,000 in cash, and a wallet containing a national ID from one Salim Mubiru. The charges are in violation of sections 206 and 267 (1)(14) of the Penal Code Act.

Appearing before court on Wednesday, Alien Skin denied the charges, and his case was adjourned by Grade One Magistrate Esther Adikini to December 9 for a mention. In the meantime, state prosecutor Henry Twinomujuni confirmed that investigations into the matter were complete but requested a delay in proceedings.

Victim Salim Mubiru, who was reportedly robbed by Alien Skin, spoke to the press, describing the ordeal as traumatic but expressed relief that legal action was being taken. “It was a traumatic experience, but I am glad the authorities have taken action. I hope justice will be served,” Mubiru said.

This charge follows a separate incident on Tuesday, when Alien Skin was arrested for allegedly assaulting medical staff and security guards at Nsambya Hospital. The altercation reportedly involved members of his Fan Gone Forest group, who were at the hospital following the death of a group member, Joram Tumwesigye. Two security guards and a doctor were reportedly injured during the incident.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed that investigations into both the robbery and the assault are ongoing. Alien Skin remains in police custody as the legal proceedings unfold.
