Court has issued a warrant for the arrest of city dentist Dr Lule Ntwatwa after he failed to appear before the Buganda Road Magistrates Court to receive a judgment in a case involving alleged forgery and uttering of false documents over ownership of disputed land in Katanga, near Wandegeya.

Grade One Magistrate Winnie Nankya issued the warrant after Dr Ntwatwa and his sureties failed to appear in court on October 22, 2026, the date scheduled for the delivery of the judgment.
The court directed police to arrest Dr Ntwatwa and produce him before the court to receive its decision.
“A warrant of arrest is hereby issued against accused number one, Ntwatwa,” Magistrate Nankya ruled before adjourning the judgment to November 9, 2026.
The arrest warrant was issued a day after the High Court dismissed an application by Dr Ntwatwa seeking to block the lower court from delivering its judgment in the case.

The High Court, presided over by Justice Paul Gadenya, dismissed the application, citing abuse of court process.
The Case
Dr Ntwatwa is jointly charged with Stuart Kateregga and local council leader Wasswa Ntoogo over allegations of providing false information to police concerning ownership of a kibanja on part of the disputed Katanga land near the Mulago Roundabout.
Prosecution alleges that in 2019, at Wandegeya Police Station in Kawempe Division, Kampala, the three accused, together with other suspects still at large, gave Detective Corporal Lubowa, a police officer, information they knew or believed to be false.
According to the prosecution, they allegedly claimed to be the rightful owners of a kibanja opposite the Government Analytical Laboratory (GAL) near the Mulago Roundabout.

The state alleges that the accused intended to mislead the police officer into believing that the land belonged to them, thereby prompting him to devote time and resources to investigating the matter.
Prosecutors further allege that between 2019 and 2020, the three accused conspired to defraud Pastor Daniel Walugembe of his kibanja located opposite GAL along Haji Kasule Road, near the Mulago Roundabout.
The prosecution claims that the accused allegedly asserted ownership of the land on the basis that they had purchased it from Bulasio Bwisi in the early 1990s.
Court documents further indicate that on September 17, 2020, at Wandegeya Police Station, the accused allegedly knowingly and fraudulently presented false documents to police, including busuulu receipts, or ground rent receipts, purportedly issued by the family of Ashe Sendawula Mukasa.
Dr Ntwatwa and his co-accused face criminal charges arising from the disputed land ownership claims. The allegations remain subject to determination by the court.
