Mystery Surrounds Death of Suspended DPC Julius Ahimbisibwe, Body Discovered in Septic Tank

The Territorial police of Nsangi police station is actively investigating the alleged suicide of former district police commander (DPC) of Jinja road Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Julius Ahimbisibwe who was found dead in a septic tank.

The body of the deceased was found this morning in a septic tank at his residence located at Nakitokoro village Kyengera town council in Wakiso district.

According to one of his neighbors names withheld, the deceased came back on Friday evening for Easter with his family, but after a long time without sighted in the area.

Police Retrieving the body

He was on investigation after reportedly shooting and injuring his wife during hearted altercation in 2023 resulted from domestic violence.

During that scenario SSP Julius Ahimbisibwe was arrested and detained at Railway police station and later was released on police bond, while the matter remained active in courts of law.

He was on suspension ‘ Katebe’ since 2023 to give way for further investigation despite several times trying to beg for forgiveness from his boss at Police headquarters Naguru.

Patrick Onyango Kampala metropolitan police spokesman says police homicide department from Nsangi have cordoned off the area and his body was retrieved from the septic tank and rushed to city mortuary Mulago for further postmortem.

He adds that three people have been arrested to help police in investigation.
