Media personality Kakooza George William Musisi, a well-known journalist at CBS FM, has officially declared his intention to contest for the mayoral seat of Katabi Town Council.

Based in the Entebbe subdistrict, Kakooza is a prominent radio reporter with deep roots in the community. He is vying for the seat currently held by Mayor Kalema Ronald, who is seeking a third consecutive term in office.
Running under the National Unity Platform (NUP) banner, Kakooza joins a growing list of contenders for the highly competitive position. Other aspirants include Mugerwa Ssali and Kalema Charles, also eyeing the post.

In total, nine candidates have expressed interest in the seat. Among them are Nsubuga Paul of the Democratic Party (DP), Lugoloobi Innocent of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Kajura Frank (NRM), Kiwanuka Godfrey of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP), and independent candidate Mawanda Derrick.
Voters across the town council are eagerly awaiting party primaries, which will determine the official flag bearers for each political group ahead of the general elections.
