Thousands of believers, including members and followers of Phaneroo Ministries International, gathered at the Phaneroo Grounds in Naguru, Kampala, on Saturday to mark the ministry’s 12th anniversary.
The celebrations were led by the ministry’s founder and lead pastor, Apostle Grace Lubega, alongside Nigerian ministers Sunmisola Agbebi and Yinka Okeleye, among other invited ministers.
The anniversary celebrations were held at Phaneroo Grounds in Naguru and simultaneously at three regional centres: Gombe Junior School in Gulu City for the northern region, Mbale Cricket Grounds in Mbale City for the eastern region, and Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara City for the western region.
The ministry also streamed the celebrations online for followers unable to attend physically, including audiences outside Uganda, through its official social media platforms and regional initiatives such as Manifest Nigeria, Manifest UAE, Manifest Pretoria and Manifest Sierra Leone.
During his sermon, Lubega thanked God for what he described as the ministry’s achievements over the past 12 years. He said the anniversary marked an important moment in the ministry’s history and acknowledged previous generations as well as those he said would continue serving God in the future.
Lubega said the ministry was entering what he described as a new phase, with its focus expanding beyond traditional spiritual discipleship to what he termed “territorial governance and divine influence.”
Addressing the congregation, which included young people, professionals and civic leaders, Lubega said the ministry’s role should extend beyond activities within the church.
«“We are no longer just a church that gathers within four walls,” Lubega said. “We are entering a season where the Spirit of God is equipping this house for territorial governance.”»
He added that the church should seek to influence different spheres of society and said believers should be prepared to take on leadership and responsibilities beyond the church.
Lubega further said he believed divine empowerment would position believers to serve in influential roles and contribute to social and institutional transformation.
“God is placing men and women of substance in positions of power,” he said. “The wisdom of heaven is coming upon this generation to shape policies, reform institutions, and guide nations.”
The pastor also called for discipline, spiritual maturity and moral integrity among members as the ministry pursues its expanded vision. He urged believers to move beyond their comfort zones and embrace what he described as a broader responsibility to society.
The anniversary gathering concluded with worship and prayer, with participants returning home after the celebrations that marked 12 years of Phaneroo Ministries International.
