Mpoma Junior School and Mpoma Parents School, both based in Mukono District, have once again cemented their reputation as one of the leading centres of academic excellence after posting outstanding results in the 2025 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).

According to the results released, the vast majority of candidates from the two schools excelled, with impressive numbers attaining Division One. At Mpoma Parents School, all 24 candidates passed, with 12 pupils scoring Division One and the remaining 12 achieving Division Two. Meanwhile, Mpoma Junior School registered a total of 47 candidates, of whom 27 attained Division One while 20 passed in Division Two.
The remarkable performance underscores the schools’ long-standing tradition of academic excellence, innovation, discipline and holistic learning.

The Director of the schools, Dr. Thadeus Musoke Nagenda, attributed the success to teamwork and shared commitment across the entire school community. He expressed delight at the strong performance, noting that it reflects a well-balanced educational approach.
“This achievement is a reflection of the collaborative efforts of our dedicated teaching staff, the enthusiasm of our learners, and the unwavering support from parents,” Dr. Musoke said. “We believe in nurturing not only academic excellence but also values that shape responsible and confident individuals. These results affirm that our approach is yielding positive outcomes.”

In celebration of the pupils’ excellent performance, Dr. Musoke Nagenda announced the award of 100 bursaries to learners at Mpoma Parents School and Mpoma Royal College. He explained that the bursaries will be offered through the National Entrepreneurs and Traders Association (NETA), where he also serves as the National Chairperson.
Parents and well-wishers have hailed the gesture as timely support for education and a motivation to pupils to continue striving for excellence. With the latest PLE results, Mpoma Junior School and Mpoma Parents School have once again positioned themselves among the top-performing primary schools in Uganda.
