NCBA Bank Uganda Unveils New Business Banking Proposition, Launches “Ku NCBA Kiggwa Ku Bwerere” Campaign

By Jumah Kakomo

NCBA Bank Uganda has launched a new Business Banking proposition alongside its “Ku NCBA Kiggwa Ku Bwerere” campaign, reaffirming its commitment to supporting Ugandan businesses through accessible financing, innovative digital banking solutions, and enterprise development initiatives.

The new offering is designed to support businesses at every stage of growth by providing faster access to finance, dedicated relationship management, and practical financial solutions tailored to the evolving needs of Uganda’s business community.

Speaking at the launch in Kampala on Thursday, NCBA Bank Uganda Chief Executive Officer, Mark Muyobo, said the initiative reflects the bank’s purpose of Banking on Belief, Empowering Ambitions by positioning the institution as a trusted partner in the growth of businesses.

“Our goal is to stand alongside entrepreneurs by providing the financial tools, support, and confidence they need to grow their businesses and contribute to Uganda’s economic development,” Muyobo said.

Under the new Business Banking proposition, customers will have access to a range of financing solutions, including unsecured invoice discounting of up to UGX 500 million, unsecured Local Purchase Order (LPO) financing of up to UGX 180 million, unsecured business loans of up to UGX 200 million, education financing of up to UGX 500 million, and asset financing covering up to 90 percent of invoice value.

The bank also announced a six-month promotional offer featuring zero transaction charges and loan arrangement fees, while promising to provide credit decisions within 48 hours.

To strengthen the capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), NCBA Bank has partnered with MAT Abacus to offer a complimentary Enterprise Development Programme to all SME customers. The programme will provide practical training, mentorship, and advisory services in areas such as financial management, corporate governance, tax compliance, business planning, succession planning, and sustainable business growth.

The bank further highlighted its enhanced digital banking platforms, NCBA Now and NCBA ConnectPlus, which enable business customers to securely manage accounts, make payments, approve transactions, and monitor cash flows anytime and from any location.

According to the bank, the “Ku NCBA Kiggwa Ku Bwerere” campaign complements the new Business Banking proposition by making banking services simpler, faster, and more accessible to businesses across Uganda.

The Chief Guest, Abel Mwesigye, Chief Executive Officer of the Kampala City Traders Association (KACITA), commended NCBA Bank Uganda for introducing initiatives aimed at improving access to finance and strengthening enterprise development.

He said accessible financing, coupled with practical business support, is critical to empowering local traders and transforming Uganda’s SME sector.

“Ugandan entrepreneurs have remarkable potential, but many businesses struggle to scale because they face challenges beyond access to capital. What SMEs need are actionable solutions that equip them with the skills to manage finances effectively, strengthen governance, and build sustainable business strategies,” Mwesigye said.

NCBA Bank Uganda Chairman Grace Jethro Kavuma encouraged members of the public, particularly entrepreneurs and business owners, to embrace the new Business Banking offering and take advantage of the opportunities it presents.
