First son Lt. Gen appointed SFC commander as Maj. Gen. Sabiti dropped as Deputy IGP

The commander in chief of the armed forces and also the president of Uganda H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has returned his son Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba as the commander of the elite force the Special Forces Command.

Lt. Gen. Muhoozi who is also the presidential adviser on security and special operations replaces Maj Gen James Birungyi who has been sent to South Sudan for Special assignments

President Museveni has also appointed Maj Gen Paul Lokech  as the Deputy Inspector General of Police IGP replacing  Maj Gen Sabiiti Muzei who has been sent back to UPDF General headquarters for redeployment.

According to the UPDF spokesperson Brig. Gen Flavia Byekwaso the appointment take immediate effects and also important to note is that the IGP Martin Okoth Ochola retained his position.
