Over 500 children enroll for this year’s Ekisaakaate kya Nnabagereka

Over 500 children have set off for the 15th royal mentoring camp dubbed Ekisaakaate kya Nnabagereka that has kicked off today Thursday 5th  until 21st January 2023 at Muzza High school Kabembe, Mukono district, Kyagwe county.

The 15th edition is running under the theme “igniting the innate potential for personal growth”.

While setting off at Buganda’s headquarters in Bulange, Mengo on Thursday morning, the executive director of Nnabagereka Development Foundation Andrew Adrian Mukiibi emphasized that they are to focus on humanness, mental health in addition to helping the children to know how to manage social media for betterment of their lives in future.

The Nnabagereka Development Foundation chief trainer Joanitah Kawalya revealed that they are also going to train children on how to make right decisions in addition to teaching them their local language since many mostly focus on speaking English.

Some of the parents and children including musician Mesarch Ssemakula who registered his daughter applauded  Nnabagereka for the initiative since it instills morals among children.

The Ekisaakaate kya Nnabagereka was introduced in 2006 by the Queen (Nnabagereka) of Buganda Sylvia Nagginda and it hosts both girls and boys from 6 – 18years of age from various cultural and social background.
