The holding brand for Pastor Aloysius Bugingo’s owned Salt Media, Ssentogo Fredrick Lugonvu alias Mwana Taata has thrown in the towel after over three years of hard and attractive work for the station.
According to the insider sources, Lugonvu handed in his resignations two weeks back without a clear reason why he will be leaving the media house effective next year.
Known for his great on point analysis and lively news anchoring style, with a calm and bold voice, Lugonvu has been the host of Omusunsuuzi program that has been airing Monday to Thursday at 11pm, featuring veteran journalists Sirajje Lubwama and Omulangira Jjunju Francis. He has also been a News anchor of Omunnyo Ku Ssatu and commentator of the Brain power segment in the television’s news.

The same person has been working for Salt Fm as a news anchor as well as a presenter for Ekizungirizi program every Sunday evening.
Following his notification to Pastor Bugingo that he will be resigning from work, the management acting in panic immediately scrapped off the most viewed program on TV that’s Omusunsuuzi and handed the Brain power segment to another person.
Our sources couldn’t fully establish his next move but revealed that rumors doing rounds indicate that he is destined to join either NTV or NBS TV
When we reached Lugonvu for the comment, he told us to treat the information as a street rumor since he was still executing his duties at Salt Media
“Please treat that as a mere rumor. Actually right now am at the mighty station executing my duties as prescribed in my contract. If you’re still doubting Thomas you can call management for further inquiries.” Said Lugonvu before hanging up our call.
Before joing Salt media in 2017, he was working with Veteran politician Capt. Edward Francis Babu’s Metro Fm where he was a brand news anchor as well.
In at least for the past two years, Salt media has lost about ten brand presenters due to the inside bickering allegedly mainly caused by Pastor Bugingo’s wife Susan Nantaba Makula who they say wants supremacy the media house.
However, for Lugonvu’s case, they say he has been a great friend and a darling to Makula and Pastor Bugingo
