Former presidential candidate and National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has disclosed that he wants the incumbent president and winner of 2021 presidential elections Yoweri Kaguta Museveni out of power before the end of this year.
Bobi wine made the remarks in a meeting with the NUP members of Parliament elect at his home in Magere.
He cautioned them of the much amounts of money, ministerial posts offers among others that the ruling NRM government will offer them which when they refuse will be persecuted but asked them to remain firm and steadfast on the cause of liberating the country.
“This is a time to sacrifice and put away our comfort, this is a liberation struggle that we must start the struggle is still more painful but I can grant you that we can see freedom in sight.” Said Bobi wine
Bobi wine appealed to all the NUP elected leaders not to betray and disappoint the people that have elected for them.
“The People of Uganda are relying on us, they voted us and we must not disappoint them. You must always remember that you are servants to the people.” Said Bobi Wine
Bobi Wine is positive that Museveni will be ousted out of power before the end of this year even after winning the elections on 58%.
He emphasized that Museveni will follow the route of the former Egypt Mubarak and Sudan’s president Omar Bashir who were outsed out power even after winning with higher percentages.
