Breaking news: New Vision Group boss Robert Kabushenga resigns

The chief Executive Officer of Uganda government giant media group, The New Vision group Robert Kabushenga has resigned.

According to the communique to his staff, Kabushenga said for personal reasons he asked the Vision group board for an early retirement which was accepted.

The communique indicate that his retirement will take effect after 90 days from today, Friday 29, January, 2021 to allow smooth transition.

“Good morning. This is to let you know that for personal reasons I have asked the Board for early retirement and this has been accepted.

However, the board has asked me to manage the transition for the next 90 days which I have agreed to do.” Read the communique

Kabushenga thanked his staff for working as a team which has led the company to numerous success.

“I am proud of the success we achieved and the impact we have had in society. This was possible because we worked together as a team. No single person could have done it on their own, certainly not me. I have always said to you that everyone in their lives should have the privilege of working with people like you. I had a great time doing just that and for me, it was an absolute honor and pleasure to have done so.” Further read the communique
