Cranes’ supporter Uncle Money sentenced to four years in prison

Buganda Road Court magistrate Miriam Okello on Thursday sentenced renown Uganda national football team  “the Uganda Cranes” supporter and also vice chairperson Munaku zone four Kasubi Jackson Ssewanyana aka Uncle Money for taking part in the murder of a suspected phone thief.

Uncle Money was convicted along with the same area defense secretary Benson Ssenyonga for spearheading a mob that lynched to death a suspected phone thief Siraje Hakim Tumusiime

However the state prosecutor Timothy Amerit expressed concern over the sentence given to the duo saying it’s too little.

The deceased survived by three children and wives and was sole bread winner which has put the families in immense sufferings.

Tumusiime who was a phone dealer at Mutaasa Kafeero Plaza in Kampala was murdered on the 16-August-2019 was murdered by a mob spearheaded by the duo behind Royal Hotel Munaku zone four Kasubi.
