Anita Among declared NRM official candidate for deputy speaker

Bukedea woman Member of Parliament has been declared as the official National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidate for the position of deputy speaker of parliament after defeating to others in the NRM parliamentary caucus elections.

Anita Among garnered 168 votes, Thomas Tayebwa was second with 149 voter while Robinah Rwakoojo was last with 10 votes.

However, Defeated Thomas Tayebwa called for a press conference were he announced his candidature as an independent candidate.

This implies that Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanya and Hon. Anita Among are the official candidates for the NRM on the position of the speaker and deputy speaker respectively in the monday elections at Kololo Airstrip.
